Being a typical tourist

Hello again everyone,
So recently I travelled up to London with Chloe and Lorna. For that day we were going to be typical tourist and look at the typical famous landmarks like, Westminster abbey (Where Will and Kate got married), Big Ben, and the London eye....

London Eye

After seeing the London Eye we were stopped by two tour guides that decided to pull a prank us. They pretended to be security guards and say we were carrying weapons in our bags (obviously we weren’t). Looking back it was hilarious how we all acted but am not going to lie I was terrified; even though I knew I hadn’t got anything in my bag. After them pranking us they told a few place of interest. We chatting to the tour guides until they thought Lorna who is 17 like Chloe and I was 13, Chloe was 11 and finally they thought I was 9.  They thought I looked like a 9 year! I suppose I will enjoy having a baby face when I am older.

We then went to Trafalgar square where there were many busy people taking down market stalls; it looked as though there had been a food festival that we had just missed which was ashamed as it looked like a cool place to be.

There were many street entertainers in Trafalgar square which creeped me out as they just hovered on the spot; Crazy right? I do not understand how they were hovering but I defiantly creeped me out. After walking past the street entertainers we decided to go to the national art museum as Chloe is very arty.

After Trafalgar square we decided to go Leicester square and go to the M&M world. I have always wanted to go with my family but when my mum and dad went with their friends they couldn’t stand the sweet chocolaty scent that lingered in the shop.

Covent Garden was our next stop of the day, the atmosphere and the markets are perfect just having a nosey at all the little bits and bobs. If you read my last post then you will know my love for Ice tea, as we were in Covent Garden we walked past a shop called whittards which were giving free samples of Ice Tea. I was in my element what could make the day any better. I had to try.  We also went into a little cute cup cake shop which had rows and rows of gorgeous looking cupcakes, we all decided on a red velvet cupcake.

If you cant tell Chloe loves Cupcakes

Covent Garden Market

It was finally lunch time after Covent Garden so we decided to stop off at Hyde Park and have a little picnic. The weather was so beautiful that we ended up after we finished eating taking a stroll round Hyde Park. It felt so bizarre that we were in busy London yet it was so calm, tranquil in the park and also to think if we walk 5 minutes out we would be back in the busy world.

I t was time to hit the famous Oxford street. Chloe had never been to Oxford Street before so Lorna and I thought we would show her what she was missing. Chloe could not believe her eyes as we stepped out of the tube station. We spent around 2 hours looking around the different shops that included, Primark, new look, forever 21 and Selfridges. We did not fit in Selfridges on little bit we stuck out like a saw thumb as many women strutted their way round in their suits but my god was the dresses in there beautiful ; yes! Were the dresses in their expensive; yes! I looked at a dress which was £4000 and that was on sale. It was ridiculous.

It started to get late once we had finished our small shopping trip up Oxford Street so we decided to stop off at a Chinese restaurant in china town called Old Town 97.  The food was amazing we had decided on sharing a set meal for 2 and extra rice as there was 3 of us. As for dinks Chloe and Lorna both ordered a coke as for me I ordered something different for a change an ice tea. ( ohh the sarcasm)  after the meal we were all so stuffed so we decided to take a small stroll through China town before heading to Victoria station for our train back home.

It was so nice to take a small trip to the capital sit with my close friends and being able to activities that we wanted to do rather than going in a large group and cover everything. I am sure it won’t be long until I will visit you again London so you defiantly won’t be missed.
